Ok so i am going up north soon to meet my sister for the first time since she was 4 and she now is 20 so i was waiting until June to get my D700 but i think ill get a second camera first

Whats the least amount of pixel i should get i seen a few 6.1m good priced camera

And also the highest shutter count before its a waste of time , like a D200 i found had 56k shutter count is it worth it ? as iv seen stories of them cutting early but on the other hand some have gotten up to 150k and still alive

Anything else i should ask / be aware of with a second hand apart from the hole storage / and fungus / water damage thing

as long as you give it a good look you should be fine.

unfortunately, i don't think you can get a shutter cound just by looking at a camera so that's quite a gamble.

i would choose to buy from a pro or enthusiast rather than just a hobbyist - mainly due to the likelihood that a pro/enthusiast would take care of their gear.
