Has anyone dealt with progear before? I advertised a lens on trademe recently and was contacted by a guy called Graham from progear, who wanted to trade my lens for some other stuff. We struck a deal and I sent off my lens, and eventually (About a week later) got my stuff from him, minus a lens hood and case that was agreed upon. Now he won't respond to any emails when I asked him about the missing items.
This seems like extremely poor conduct, not just for someone on trademe but for somebody representing an actual business. If the matter is not rectified soon I'll be doing my best to badmouth progear every chance I get.

This is the trademe account that I was contacted from: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings.aspx?member=142660

And this is their website: http://www.progear.co.nz/

Anybody else dealt with these guys before?

Hmm, yeah I'm pretty disappointed to be honest because I thought they were a reputable outfit. I'll give him a ring and try to sort things out. Bit far from Auckland to just pop in, haha.

Stand by for update.

they ARE polite, nice and professional in the manner they deal with you i like going to their shop but unless you spent alot of money there before they wont give you any discounts which means that they will butt*ape you with their prices

Their an alright company IMO. Just that some of their workers are slack. Went in twice for a quote and to talk to someone about finance stuff and they said theyll ring me but no contact was made both times..But they do have some great lenses for a good price..better than most retail shops prices

Well I phoned Graham and he said my emails ended up in his spam and he's going to send the hood, so good outcome (hopefully). Still not entirely convinced that he was being 100% truthful with me though, we exchanged at least 12 or so emails before the deal went through, and email servers don't just suddenly start sending emails from your contacts into the spam folder.... also convenient that he had happened to only just read the emails when I phoned him (almost 2 weeks after the first was sent) but he hadn't had a chance to reply yet. Oh well, as long as I get the gear I don't really care.
