Wow!! Love love love them. Music photography is something I am so interested in, how did you get in to it?

As a side note, lol, I woke up on Monday with partial hearing loss in one ear (have seen doctor, waiting on her to call me back, lol)... Wondering if it's from crouching down by drum kits, lol..

Hey thanks for the comment! They were all taken on a Nikon D60 (im desperate need of an upgrade) with a Sigma 70-200 F2.8 HSM II lens.

With regards to how to get into it; Ask!
I started out taking shots for uni bands and friends bands at local gigs.. The lighting is shit but you can get away with being pretty close.
From there, all I did was build up a little portfolio of local band shots, and then asked some bigger names (Vodafone Homegrown, Fringe Festival last year) and built up an even better portfolio, and just grew from there :)

Thankfully the Homegrown guys remembered me from last year and asked me back for this one!

They look awesome! Gig photography is so fun.

I'm desperately lacking in a f2.8 ish type of lense to use, I've only got my 50mm f1.8 and a 28-200 one that only goes down to f3.5 :( It's going to make prodigy tonight so hard.

You might be surprised what you can get away with if you crank the ISO level up, especially with band lighting as there's actually quite a bit of light around, it's just highly directional & changes a lot. I recommend just dumping WB as Sun or Tungsten so when you find a WB you like in post, you can just apply it to everything; Don't leave in Auto.
