i've been waiting for a700 replacement but sony just showed concept cameras in
PMA 2010. some sony users really disappointed with that. but it is almost sure that the replacement will be in this year but not sure the exact date. wondering how the Exmor APS HD CMOS will perform.

the EVIL camera is really cool. i heard that sony want to put IS in the lens unlike other alpha cameras.. reason is to make it as small as possible.

Could be that it makes it smaller, or could just be that it works better that way and they are taking a leaf of canon /nikon's book.

it's true that IS is better on the lens but the difference is very marginal. i don't think sony would change IS from sensor-based to the lens for alpha dslr.i found it very useful as i don't need to worry about having IS on lens. every lens will benefit from it including the prime.

i just mentioned the rumors about the first sony mirrorless camera which is about to be launched soon. not the usual alpha dslr.
