Can anyone help?

Lets say I took a set of photos, applied adjustments to one image. Is there any way i can transfer the adjustments to the others in the set (then obviously fine tune each one by one).

I know Lightroom has this functionality. What about photoshop?

Cheers

Given Photoshop's destructive nature (unless you're pretty much exclusively using adjustment layers) the "and tweak them" bit is not so readily achievable.

However the repeat-the-technique is achieved through "Actions". I must admit I'm a Photoshop n00b, so although I know of the existence of actions, I've no idea how to use them :embarrassed:

Is that using Camera Raw or just processing JPEGs?

I had a poke around and you can do it on RAW with a combination of Photoshop and Bridge.

First, open a raw file in Photoshop (examples here use CS4).
Set all the image parameters
On the last tab, click the button down the bottom (the not delete/bin one) - this is to save the settings to a profile.

It will let you choose which parameters you want to save as part of the profile. I named this example one as 'ProfileTest1'.

Now close Photoshop and open bridge (I had them both open and had to close them and then open bridge again to get the profile to show up).

Browse to the directory/images you want to batch process

Select the images and Right click on one.

On the menu select 'Develop settings' and you will see your profile there (in my case 'ProfileTest1')

Hey Presto your profile is applied to the selected images

Not so much camera raw. I only really adjust white balance and exposure in camera raw. I mean like curves adjustments, etc and having them consistent across a set of photos. Hmm maybe i will have to just create actions>?

Yeah actions are the only thing you can use as far as I know, then File->Automate->Batch and choose the action and the photos in question
