Has anyone tried this lense? Was thinking of buying it for my 400d since the 24-70mm is really made for full frame cameras and it wont be very compatible with my cam.

Is it going to be good indoor and outdoor shooting? Indoor sometimes being dark and using a flash.

If your asking (as it sounds like) if it will be a wide enough angle...i'd say NO.

I would recomend a 10-20 (sigma?) or the canon 10-22, which even on a non-full frame DSLR, wiil give the equivilent of 16-30odd mm...

It should be quite a nice walkaround lense. Pretty much the same focal range as the kit lense but much faster and much higher IQ. (And probably a lot lighter than the 24-70mm, it weighs 1kg!!)
