Hi all, I'll have to admit this is the first time in years that I have joined a forum and need a little help inserting a photo I would like critiqued.:(
Thanks:embarrassed:
Join Flickr, or photobucket and follow instructions, then, once you've hosted your pics and, get the link and post here by hitting the picture icon and pasting the link...

Hi, this is a photo I took last year late Autumn I think. I'm really new to photography especially enhancing and manipulating photos and would value all feedback and feedforward.
Thanks:)

Can't say I'm a fan sorry - the selective colouring appears to be done poorly with large overlaps around the edges, not to mention it is far too bright and dominating and also too centred in the frame.

A friendly suggestion would be to try to move to GIMP as quickly as you can, (it's great for free software). Do some tutorials online, and play around a lot, and you will soon get the actual result lot closer to the idea that was in your brain. IMHO I wouldn't use picassa for processing digital photography, for some of the reasons fokker mentioned.
You're on the right track.

Hi again, I've had a small play with GIMP and taken into consideration the comments made. I have cropped this picture and brought out the colour of the toadstall as I originally tried in the first photo. Any thoughts?
