Hello, this may well be a needle / haystack thing... but we lost a memory card on our wedding day with all our wedding photos on it, on the afternoon of December the 5th, 2009, in Muriwai, Auckland.
We believe it may have been found in the carpark at Maori Bay.
SANDISK 16gig
Type I: dimensions 3.3mm x 36.4mm x 42.8mm (Thickness x Length x Width).
IN A CLEAR HARD CASE ABOUT THE SIZE OF PACK OF CARDS
If anyone on this forum knows anyone who might have picked it up, could you call or text o21-722-644.
We're looking at a $500 reward.
Also, if there's another place or community i could place this message, could you let me know?
Thanks,
Charlie

Oh, far out that sucks! I wish you the best of luck finding it. Can't imagine how horrible that is.
Try the (sometimes mean) TradeMe boards, very wide audience there...

Thank you, that's very kind, but Muriwai is a wee way from Auckland City (link: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=muriwai+beach&sll=-36.702008,174.38736&sspn=0.400779,0.724411&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Muriwai+Beach,+Auckland,+New+Zealand&ll=-36.828661,174.465637&spn=0.200059,0.232086&z=12
And my thinking is that someone might have picked it up, and are unsure what to do with it, and with a little luck, will read this post!
But thank you for your offer, that's very kind.

Thanks Lou, I'll give TradeMe a go, and thanks so much for offering to look - if you are out there, we'd appreciate it.

haven't been there for awhile, but a number of akl photog's go there reasonably regular-like. I've posted a note on forum over here (http://www.hellophoto.co.nz/showthread.php?p=16458#post16458)

Try contacting the police for lost and found items. I once left my wallet on top of my car at Piha and drove home. Around a week later, the police contacted me telling me someone had handed in my wallet. Everything was there. There are honest people out there.
Best of luck!

Also give Muriwai Surf club a call over the weekend on 09-411 8055 in case a lifeguard has picked it up or it's been handed in.
Good luck.

Thanks for that, I'll call in the morning.
And thank you again to all replies to this post, it means a lot to us that you're all there helping us in our search - if/when found we'll all go for a beer!
cheers,
Charlie
