I know I'm just new here. Checked the FAQ... but I still can't attach files as described. Are newbies not permitted to upload ?

The forum here is quite different from what I'm used to.
I sponsor and moderate a BMW forum. So I'm not that new to all of this.

I know nothing, I just play in the sand pit all day, lol, but are you trying to upload images? I'm not that fancy, I just upload mine to Photobucket and stick the link in my message... Works for me. (If you don't get a proper answer that is, lol).

with it being a photography forum, which i believe the guys pay for hosting and stuff out there own pocket, theres not enough coin to host photos on the server, which is fair enough as they could end up hosting alot of pictures.

Sorry for the late reply. We haven't got the upload functionality switched on due to the website still on a relatively light server. Uploads will put load on the server and cause forum speed to decrease. Feel free to get a free flickr or photobucket account, etc and upload your heart away. BTW if you on Xtra they are running a free upload promo (your uploads don't count towards your monthly data allowance).

I'll move this to the appropriate forum too.

Cheers

Thanks for that...I understand now. Just couldn't work it out after seeing photos on here and not being able to do it. I'll sort a web host... just more I have to do & learn.

The learning list now includes:
Camera (priority)
Editing
Hosting my photos
The Forum
