Canon lens purchase advice

Im looking to purchase a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM and was looking at importing from overseas. Has anyone personally purchased lenses from overseas and can reccommend the best/cheapest place to buy from? Alternatively if anyone has any reccomendations for somewhere locally that would also be appreciated.

$1769 @ Progear http://www.progear.co.nz/product.aspx?p=10865 - this is the cheapest non parallel new unit i have seen.

If you have a friend going to Hong Kong then it's probably worth them seeing if it's cheaper there. But if you're looking to order online to get shipped here it's probably not worth it after all the shipping and tax.
