So, since going digital, I have been very simplistic in my style... Kits lenses (stop cringing, haha!) and onboard flash, and it's done me well so far. I do, however, feel it's nearing the time to take the next step up. I have a very entry level camera at the moment (Olympus e520) and will need to stay with these for a bit (I have two, long story, lol).

I have a pile of lenses from my Pentax Spotmatic days. Is there any chance there is an adapter for these lenses to fit my Olympus? Would be the best thing ever if there was...

Are there any Pentax dSLR peeps here? I'd love to know about the K20d and the k7... I am dreadfully fussy with my cameras - I had a lovely Canon at one point that I had to onsell because we didn't bond... Which I know is just rdiculous, but that's just how it was. My all time favourite camera is my 50 year old asahi pentax... It's incredible... I'd so love for the dSLR to have the same feel...

:D Well, that's just lovely. I like talkers, and I like photos. ;)

You did ask, lol, so here I go...

Once upon a time, I bought myself a lovely shiny beautiful Olympus e-300. My Asahi Pentax was fab, but since I had my first kidlet, I'd given up my darkroom... And my staunch anti-digital (it's hooollllooow, I'd moan) stance was beginning to wane. So I did it.

Then one day, at a photoshoot (infant's portraits) a parent pulls out a point and shoot... with more megapixals than my camera... So, despite adoring my Olympus, I decide to buy myself a Canon, just a wee 400d, because I am still v. poor due to aforementioned child, plus the one that made it impossible for me to lie on my tummy during photoshoots...

I embraced it and loved it, but it just wasn't the same... Maybe it's because I was learning the quirks all over again, but we just didn't bond. It took some lovely photos, but it didn't feel like an extension of my arm, like I am used to with my cameras. So I sold it...

And bought an Olympus e520. And yay, I was back in love! Having sold my e300 to my mum, I was solely using the e520. Sadly my mum passed away earlier this year, and I inherited the e300 back. Well, that was until we were burgled (the poos stole my macbook too!). Fortunately, insurance saved the day, and replaced my e300 with an e520... and there we go!

That was my incredibly boring story about having two cameras, lol... Now, you are either asleep, or sitting there aghast wondering why you asked, lol...

So when I say I'm dreadfully fussy with my cameras, it's not snobbery, lol... I think I'm still in love with my pentax, to be fair!

A K20D, and several Pentaxes, including one of the original K's from the 50's. And lenses to fit them all.
