A relatively new trend in NZ, Drown the Gown photo shoots are great fun for both the photographer and the bride and the images are something just that little bit different :)

I feel that the contrast is too high, and at that distance, it's difficult to know what she's doing.

Way too far away.
Way too contrasty. You blew out pretty much every detail on the bride.

Needed to get closer, and needed to take the brides dress into consideration. It looks like it's well metered for the background trees etc, they're perfect.. but in doing so, the brides bright white dress clipped in a mess of highlights.

Clipped highlights can work in an arty way, but not at that distance.

My recent "oh shit I left it on manual, lets see what I can do with it", aka contrasted clipped highlights in an arty way.

Unfortunately I got a bit of a grey halo, but considering this is stopped down to the extreme in Lightroom, (Had absolutely zero detail in the original shot thanks to being about 6 stops overblown) I'm impressed.

Interesting idea. While I tend to agree with the previous comments, I think putting it gently would be in order.

perhaps everyone should just chill on the contrast?

poor wasted pixels :(

if you shot RAW.. might be able to bring out the highlights back a bit?
love the composition... might be intentionally blown out highlights... like the feel...
wish can see a bigger img, image too small to see much on the details...
thanks for sharing.
