Dave and myself went for a walk on around town on Queens Birthday Monday. The morning was bloody cold!! Here is a selection of my better photos. Did basic editing, b/w conversion and some sharpening. I will share my sharpening technique soon. Anyway here they are.

I like the last picture as well as the broken pot. May i ask what camera you're using? :D

Thanks! I was using my EOS 400D with EF 50mm f/1.8 II

as above last pic is nice, the lines of the trees and the path goes well. I'm not too sure about the B&W though, it's very common... you could try low-saturation or sepia or tinting with different filters. Specially with digital photos, try new things! easier said than done though, I usually follow the same post-process each time.

and for sharpening, do you use high-pass filter and hard-light blending? smart sharpen works really well too.

Thanks for that. Went for a b+w partly because I was lazy and thought it may add to the whole mood of a cold day. I mainly use unsharp mask for my sharpening. Will post it up tommorow night. Super tired!

B&W make such an impact on the image...... i like B&W... i didnt quite get the chance to experiment with it though!
