After a huge drought on photography (hence not posting here) I grabbed the camera and did a road trip to follow what I could of the Targa. Here are a couple of the results.

Yeah was stoked to be able to get the mountain in the background too. The guys in the Mega Porsche were really on it for the whole event.

Crazy gradiant on that slope put the car at a wierd angle, recovered fine and made for an interesting shot.

Yeah I only watched a few days last year but wasn't able to pull them off. Was nailing panning most of the time this year though, so it's all practice and trying out new setting. If you have the luxery of multiple passes, I start out with a pretty quick shutter speed then lower it every few shots. Keep chimping and really zooming in on the screen though to make sure the bits you want in focus actually are. Sucks to get home and think you got the shots. :(

^ This is the BMW I have shots of crashing after they got it back on the road to finish the event. Good effort, and check out the 'camber' on that rear left wheel.
