just wondering if anyone had experimented with water drops? its very easy and cheap to set up.. i used things from around the house and came up with photo's like these... tell me what you think

Hey these look good. I've never bothered to give these a go. What shutter speeds to you normally shoot water drops at?

I got some good shots using 1/200
This is one using milk totally unedited so excuse the ugly rim of the lid I was dropping it into :)

Just thinking out loud here but you could try it with in dark room and set a 5sec shutter and use your flash to free the drop rather than using the shutter itself... Hmmm might try this later tonigh :p

Wow these are awesome!
I am going to have to try this ASAP! /if a 18-55mm IS would be any good for it lol

Totally. There's nothing to it. I first attempted to use my bulky 70-200 f2.8 Sigma, but ended up going with my 18-55 kit lens. I used f20 or so anyway, so it didn't exactly matter.
I'll have to post setup pictures tomorrow :]

Hey, thanks Rickor for the setup photo, It's very helpful when people share how their photos are taken so others can learn from it, i also leaned what wireless senders i could use for my D60 :)
