What's everyone's shutter count (actuations) their cameras?
I've had my camera for 2+ years and have only taken 4376 shots!
I really need to shoot more!
What's yours?

Go have a look at one of your images, the count should be somewhere on the data. I just hover over one and it tells me the number.

Some camera change the " count" when different cards are used when used from other cameras.
I had a Canon 1d that had over 200k on it. My 1dmk2n had over 120k when it was last serviced over a year ago.
Last weekend i was playing around after seeing this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJzU3NjDikY&feature=player_embedded#t=26
Added about 1200 shots in about an hour :)

Oh my god, that is hilarious... To find out on my Olympus, here is what I had to do... (And it actually worked, lol)
1. With a working and charged battery installed switch the camera ON.
2. Open the card door.
3. You will see the warning CARD COVER OPEN icon in red on your screen.
4. Press DISPLAY & OK buttons together for E-1 and E-500; for E-330, E-400 and E-3 it is MENU & OK.
5. You will see the Camera Designation (Top Left of screen).
6. Press the following buttons in sequence: ARROW PAD up, down, left, right; then press the shutter button; then press the up button on the arrow pad. If nothing happens close the card door, wait a couple of seconds and re-open it and try again. Press the buttons firmly and hold them in for about a second. Press the shutter button well in.
7. You will see Page 1 displayed. You can scroll through the 4 available pages by pressing the arrow pad keys.
8. To revert back to normal operation simply close the card door.
It was on page 2, listed simply as 'R'... (You know, for shutter release, lol, as opposed to 'S' for flash, bwahahaha!!)
Anyway, and giant thank you to: http://www.biofos.com/cornucop/hidden.html for that curly info...
The grand answer is 19707...

hmm how do u actually know how many shutter counts you have on your camera? i'm using a sony A900, and I know dslrs are notorious in chaning the image count when you swap cards, also resets the numbering after u hit the DSC9999 count i think...
is there any software/ technique that can work it out?
I read on the web that opanda can be used to find out shutter count, but apparently it works for certain Nikon DSLRs, I'm interested to know about sony alphas...
pls advise.

I had 2 Canon 1Ds Mark II's for 3 years, both got up to 125,000 clicks each and they were still good to go!
That was 83,000 images a year - eek!

i don't think the shutter counter recycles.. it just counts up and up doesn it?
maybe you're thinking of the image numbers from your SD card resetting after it hits IMG_9999?

yea, i do believe they just keep counting, but the cards will reset after so long. then again, 1 million shots and the camera will probably reset itself with a good breakage :D
have got a question, anyone know how to find out how many shots a 7D is done, i googled it with nothing useful. i wouldnt mind knowing how many mine had done before it was refurbed.

don't know if this will work on a 7D, haven't tried it myself but a lot of people seem to suggest it's pretty accurate

The camera goes back to numbering from zero once the photos taken reaches 9999 no matter what SD card is being used, so I had to change my filing system so that it did not write over previously used numbers.
