did some testing for a big shoot coming up.
out of camera: (only one light used with a huge softbox and a reflector from the side)

Edit version: (had the product cut out in CS4 and placed on a new white sheet)
i like the original one better tho, giving the product more life, but client prefer the photoshop version. i guess its better for web application.

yes i think the original product looks better, but if they are going to clear cut every product image on the site it might make the site more consistent i guess.

original FTW..photoshopped looks like its floating on air..maybe if it was cropped it might look better

hey i just had a look on my computer screen at work and the background for the first shot seems a bit too grey? its fine on my screen at home though...
you will need to calibrate your work monitor then:p

actually i calibrated my monitor at home and the background still looks a bit grey, not trying to bum you out or anything but thats just what im seeing on my screen :/ - also it looks like when you clear cut the second image you cut out part of the product on the top part on the left side...

damn, maybe its me should get the monitor calibrated lol, did it like 2 years ago, maybe its time to recalibrate. what kit did you use for the calibration David?
