I am really starting to like taking panoramas lol, just spent the best part of 2 hours fitting my way through gorse and blackberry's to try and find a good spot to shoot from lol
These are both straight off the camera, no pp other than joining and cropping.
C&C much appreciated :)

Damn..how do you get them to line up? I tried PS (the merge tool) and it comes up saying some random stuff. Do you also handheld or tripod? The last time i tried panorama, i just took a wide shot and cropped haha

Canon photostitch?

Were you using a polarising filter? I always find a CPL filter improves landscapes no end.

CPL and panos is not a good move. Most sites say take it off before you do your pano

Depends what version of PS, PS CS2 and earlier are hopeless for panoramas and you would be better off using something free like autostitch.
CS3 was heaps better and it and autostitch were about similar in their abilities.

Microsoft ICE is the best program I have found for lining them up, I found Canon photostitch left lines at the joins for me.

I have been shooting handheld and using the focus points as marks to line up each shot

I use panofactory for mine. Has both 32 and 64 bit versions.

Need 64bit when stiching 10+ 90meg tiffs

Tried my hand at one of these myself. Not a great attempt, the 3rd image had a bit of glare from the sun.

raizer - your first one is the better of the two in terms of subject (my opinion)

Bananaman - the glare doesnt realy get noticed much

BTW,I have found AutoPano Giga is one of the better softwares. Have used CS2, PAnaramafctory, and a few others, AutoPano gies much better blending in my opinion. 'Tis not 'free' though :P
