Just been watching some you-tube videos for lighting and on one of the set ups there was a 3 light system the primary light was fired with a pocket wizard and the other 2 were triggered with light sensor on the back of the units
So if im right the main one will fire and the other 2 unit with slave light sensor on will make them fire im wanting to know wouldn't this cause a delay and will it matter

optical slaves are pretty bad at the best of times, but no, there won't be a delay. Light travels pretty quick :)

Just get radio triggers, with slaves you have the get the positioning right.

Second that post about the delay between the main light and the optical slaves picking it up - it is very, very quick, as far as your exposures go, vitually instantaneous. Far faster than the fastest sync speed you could get from any method - but not as reliable as radiowaves.

Pretty bad on bright days, and totally useless without line of sight
