Cool Parrot! I can see you getting some really good shots of this fella in time :)
I noticed these are all a little soft and thankfully you save with all the meta data so I could see what you did.
Looks like you were struggling for light there and ended up with some very slow shutter speeds. One of the photos is at 1/15th which is very slow indeed. Unless you were using a ultra wide angle it's unlikely you'd ever get a pin sharp shot at that speed.
One is 1/60th which is still quite slow for hand held photography. The other issue is that most humans and animals don't sit still enough for 1/60th to capture them sharp.
So I recommend bumping up that ISO a bit further again and see how you go or getting more light onto the subject whether that be by lighting, flash, a reflector or just taking the bird into a more nicely lit area that's not outright in the sun. :)
I also just noticed that you used the 18-55mm kit lens (which is a great little lens for the cash) but you also have the 'Fantastic Plastic' 50mm f1.8!! All of your shots up there are at 55mm so using the 50mm (I have one too .... VERY cool, sharp and fast lens for the money) would have helped dramatically in getting the shutter speed up a bit.
Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for taking the time to post :)
Your right I was dealing with low light, and at the time I had only had my dslr for about a week and I didn't really know what I was doing with the ISO and other settings :embarrassed:
I only had the kit 18-55mm and 75-300mm lens when I took these too, I have been meaning to try again now I have the 50mm

It's amazing what you can achieve with those kit lenses! Used within their capabilities they can produce startling results indeed ... often as good as any lens within reason.
