Hi I've seen several boutique clothing stores selling "Lomo" cameras. Im guessing these aren't the genuine Lomo cameras for previous eras. What's the story behind them and what makes them so "cool"? I know that they were crap cameras back in the day and made in Russia.
What's your opinion about people photoshopping their digital images into Lomo style?

i like the whole "dont think, just shoot" concept which what the whole thing is probably more about then the image quality.
it just makes me think of wasted hippies running around taking crazy photos haha
i dont think theres anything wrong in photoshopping to the style.

I dunno.. seems like a camera for latte-drinking hipsters to me. I suppose they have their "look".. One trick pony, if you ask me though. I'd like a nice little handy film camera but not so sure about a lomo. I want something I can at least get decent half images out of if I want to :) Don't want every single image to have masses of vignette and a blue cast on them!
