Ok so i have a play around with a Nikon D70 now and again, not the best camera but pretty cool for me none the less.

I will be searching a few sites trying to get better understanding. Are there any general tips/do's & don't you would advise??

Like i have found in daytime try to shoot with sun to the side and not directly behind or in front. Quick tips like this:)

D70 is a great camera! You won't go far wrong with it.

Tips, eh? Shoot in RAW format. That'll give you more flexibility when you process your images. Use a tripod whenever you can - slows you down and lets you think about the shot more.

Don't use auto WB indoors, using incandescent (home lights) or florescent (office lights), does a better job (of course if you are shooting raw it doesn't really matter..will save you time though). and don't forget to switch it back once you are outside!

Try to use aperture priority or manual, and try to get away from basic modes . Fill the frame with your subject and watch your backgrounds.

1. Shoot RAW
2. Don't shoot Auto (learn to at least use AV or TV modes)
3. Learn fill flash
