Hey guys,

I've got two genuine and new (unused) Op/tech USA sling straps for sale.
http://www.ephotozine.com/article/op-tech-utility-strap---sling-version-13842

Similar to the Black Rapid R-Strap, except the Op/tech ones don't mount to the tripod socket! Sling straps are great, especially for heavier cameras. It'll take the weight off you neck. I def wouldnt go back to the OEM strap!

Looking for $75ea and that's including courier :)

Cheers,

Was looking for a sling like this but just wondering, this one which does not connect with the tripod mount- would it have a chance of snapping with say about a 70-200mm mounted?
Many thanks!

From my experience, the connector should be able to hold that lens with a body fine. For the majority of the time, my camera is set up with a gripped Nikon D90 and a 24-70. When I was shooting D1NZ, then using the 70-200 with it, it had no troubles.

TBH, when I was looking at the strap, I also thought that the uni-loop connector might fail. Upon receiving the strap, I found out it's actually quite strong! From memory it was rated up to 12lb?

Pro-tip 1 about these straps:
I think it was better to mount the loop on the left hand side, rather than on the right as shown by them. Also for gripped bodies (Canon-wise, Nikon not really), there is a 2nd attachment you can use.

Pro-tip 2:
Use some velco on the connectors on the upper part of the strap, if you are worried about someone coming to unclip you.
