Silly question time: How did you capture the squirt? Or is this two photos composited?

Yeah it's 2 photos :)

Was hoping for more of a spray for what I want, will have to try something else.

Try a narrow key light (use old cardboard boxes and a slightly-cold-ish cast desk-lamp to restrict the light-spill if, like me, you don't have proper equipment) on where the spray will be & rim-lighting the bottle. Should throw some specular highlights into the spray, making it more like you're after.
