It was 2 shots taken through a telescope and then merged in CS3, couldn't quite fit the whole moon in one shot.

Wow crisp and I do get the feeling of the sphere shape. Most of the time when I see moon images they are quite flat and boring. This one is awesome. Well done!

great time to shoot the moon! right before it is full then you can see the shadows on the top creators easily. Would have been nice to get a space shuttle in the shot :P

Taken with 40D, 100-400 L lens @ 400mm.
Taken by hand, no tripod, standing on the front porch.
No post production, other than crop.
