Hi team,

Had the opportunity to shoot a rare (in Honda circles anyway) a NZ new DC2 Type R. 7 NZ new ones ever sold in NZ.

This is the only one I have processed so far, so keep checking back for more additions to the set.

Hey Talan

Quite like that shot! The only thing i'd change the brightness of the wall on the passengers side and the spot above the bonet, i reacon if you darken them then the car would pop more. Could be just me though. Well done controlling the reflections aswell :D You've almost got some strip lighting going on :p

Great photo, cant wait to see the rest!! What lighting did you use?

I would use the clone and stamp tool in photoshop and get rid of the glare on the door, it would make the car seem faultless! :)

Thanks! I was actually thinking about the wall and the light source behind the bonnet. How shall I darken it? Just burn a little more?

Thanks! I used ambient lighting. I was going to clone out the reflections but I suck at cloning. Guess that's a good excuse to practice :D

Yeah that would work or use adjustment layers because they non destructive. I'd use either the brightness/contrast adjustment layer or a hue/saturation one which has a brightness slider aswell.
OR a bit of everything! :p Just keep playing until you think it works :D

I did a re-edit today. Taking on board some of the critique and cropping a little tighter. I really need to work on my PS skills, but I don't want to bog myself down with PS'ing rather than taking photos.

There's still one or two keepers I will process tommorow night. I left the lighting reflections in there because I think it adds to the context of where the car was shot.
