UFO?

was out muriwai tonight and caught something in the sky. got about 40 shots of it, pretty cool, will post them up tomorrow

pretty sure its just another meteoroid aka shooting star, but lookin at the pic it must be a decent size one.

I saw and photographed something similar about two or three years ago north of Hamilton as did a lot of people on the same evening. On that ocassion it was later reported to be the reflection/refraction of light through the vapour trail of a aeroplane or jet. Your photographs look completely different to mine in that yours look like they have objects falling through the upper atmosphere. Pure speculation on my part but I think you might have got the edge of a meteor shower.... like I said pure speculation.

ive had another look at the photos, I can see no shape or sign of a plane. Will be putting it up on a space website to see what they say
