Hi

So my parents have a lot of photos that I am looking to digitise to keep a record of them. Also I just bought them a Kodak digital frame and I wouldn't ind loading a few of them onto it.

I don't really want to do this myself as I don't think our scanner is up to the task as well as the time it would take so am looking for a company that does this kind of work. not really sure where to start and found this.

Any help/direction much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
I think you'll find any commercial company would charge a lot if you have hundreds of negatives. If you're just going to view them on the computer and do the odd print you may be better off getting a negative scanner off Trademe, they start from about $80 up to $200+ They're not good for enlargements or fine detail, but OK for family snaps etc.
It's really quick and easy to scan with them, each neg only takes a few seconds

Negative film scanners are really affordable e.g http://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/red/catalog/product/Transonic-Negative-Film-Scanner?SKU=1456855

Chip in with other people and share the cost :)
