Have been looking around for a replacement lens for my 10-22mm lens as it doesnt fit on the 5D Mark II..
I've read many people favoring the 17-40mm f/4 L lens or the 16-35mm f2.8 L lens...
Also the Sigma 12-24mm lens popped up a few times..
Just wondering what thoughts people had here about what wide angle lens could replace the 10-22mm EF-S lens..
Use: Mainly landscapes

Hmmm thats pretty cheap for a f2.8 Lens.. Might have to sell my 10-22mm
and buy that Tokina one? I dont know much about other brands other than Canon lol.. Will have to read up on some reviews :D

It really depends whether you're after the same extreme perspective or the same FOV.

The EF-S 10-22 has a full-frame FOV of 16mm to 35mm, so either of the Canon L zooms would do nicely. Only the Tokina 11-16 (or an EF 14/2.8L) will give you the perspective of the 10-22, though.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the Tokina is technically an APS-C lens - It will mount on full-frames, but it vignettes severely. The EF 14 is a proper full-frame lens.

I was maybe thinking of going for the 17-40 L lens, as ive heard quite a few
good things about it... Tis a pity that its only f4 tho! :(

what is the wide angle going to be used for, if landscape f4 is sweet
