r u r a l a n d i a is an on-going project started in 2007. Although not all, the photographs I post here are the latest photographs to be considered for the final edit. The final edit will cull the selection of these and another 150+ photographers down to approximately 50 photographs to be considered for output. To facilitate the download time on this page, only the most current photographs will appear in a large size format, other preceding photographs will be displayed in a medium size format.
Though it doesn't necessarily mean I'll take your critique onboard feel free to critique or comment on any of these photographs.

I don't really like to divulge to much information regarding my projects which is why there will be no textual dialogue associated with these photographs. Without giving too much away....there are spaces in the landscape that unassumingly give the impression of a rural belonging, occupation and atmosphere.

Hey the links to the images are broken
That's weird because I'm looking at all three photographs? You sure the links are not timing out?

I can only see the one from 4.bp.blogspot.com.
In my experience this is not unusual with blogspot - it works well for images actually hosted on the blogsite, but erratically for hotlinked images - especially larger images.

Yeah, I managed to view them before by viewing the source for the page and copying and pasting the links, maybe they were just stopping hotlinking.
Anyway, the photos seem to have a deeply personal message for you ndiginiz, so a standard photographic critique might not be all that useful, although I feel that without a bit of dialogue to go with them some of the potential meaning may be lost for viewers aside from yourself. If you for instance take the the 3rd shot out of context it is rather plain and just looks like someone was walking down the street and snapped a Toi toi, but maybe with some commentary and the other images in the set it fits into a bigger picture so to speak. Just my thoughts, I realise you said you don't like including too many words.

The subjects all seem very centralised. Maybe some more thought into composition?
