Hi all, im new to this forum and reasonably new to photography but im trying to learn as much as can, which is basically why im here.
Lately i have been trying my luck with time lapse, unfortunately since the earthquake im having trouble finding good spots to shoot but here is my favorite spot so far: http://vimeo.com/22877267

Nice spot! The tilt shift effect makes it look quite interesting.. (:
One thing you could do is do a bit of colour correction on the video, what software do you use?

thats pretty cool. what is required to do a timelapse btw?? sorry for the noob question.

easy start is to get a timer control like this

and most likely a tripod, then from there you can start to experiment

I just bought that timer. It's awesome, easy as to use and does the job so well.

ive been looking at them for a few months now, still undecided. i want to try timelapse, but dont think for me i will get hooked enough

I still haven't got round to making one, but will eventually. For $65 you can't go wrong. It's not like spending hundreds on a legit canon one that does the job just as well.

I did notice it is abit yellow too, I think I went a little over the top trying to increase the saturation to help the tilt shift look.
I use Sony Vegas pro

For timing I use mostly a timer built into my battery grip, I have also used my laptop as a timer, using the canon software that came with my camera
