I just got an old camera as part of a birthday present and don't have a clue what type or brand of camera it is. I was wondering if anyone knew about somewhere I could send it to get it checked out and examined. Here are some pics..

It's an old kodak folder.
From the lens it would be the kodak 620 folding brownie.

It takes 620 film which is no longer produced I'm afraid

Take it to a local professional, who should be able to tell what type of film it uses. If it uses 120 fulm, then it is probably ok to use.

Cool little addition to a bday pressie ae!! I was stoked to see what it was, even the case it was in was sick! I have found out it is a kodak brownie six-20 folding camera. Quite common but still awsome to have and fiddle around with. Yea, it does use 620 film which sucks, would've loved to take some snaps on the beast! Ridiculous to see how far cameras have come!

I'm not quite sure of the exact dimensions of 620 but you may be able to DIY it to take 120 film.
It would make a fun project and will end up producing some great results I imagine.
