There is Tane Mahuta (a really huge tree), that should be on the way. But really, on the way you will see some awesome views - even in the car. Enjoy your xmas trip, would love to see what pics you will bring back :)

hehe, cheers Kazeden. That photo is basically using Photoshop's Photomerge automation tool (without blending), then using the background eraser tool to remove bits that might overlap, then finally blending them together. Then it's used a bit of clone tool if needed to smooth a few things out. chucked back into LR for more PP.

Also which is very important, is to shoot these panos in portrait orientation -something I do all the time.
