I found a ozzy guy who does long exposures of the sea at night and light paints the fore ground. Hes has some amazing work and i'm pretty sure hes got some videos of his work on his website. Cant remember his name but i've got the link at home, will post it up later on.
Now i've got a 5DmkII i could make some myself :p

Looking at those night photo videos , what is the point in having a 5 min exposure surely there cant be much more light if you leave exposure open for 5 minutes wouldn't you get just as much from 1 min and so on ? , im thinking more on nights , the moon doesnt change that much does it ?
p.s cory played with you new camera yet ?

PureKiwi: Depends how dark things are: In a 5 minute exposure the camera literally collects 5x the light of a 1 min exposure.
Either that or you might want to stop down the aperture by 5-stops for a massively increased depth of field, but you want the same brightness in the photo, so you use a 5 min exposure.
Or you might want to use ISO 100 vs ISO 800 - a 4 stop difference, ISO 800 collects light 4x faster than ISO 100, but ISO 100 has less sensor noise, so that's a 1 min exposure at ISO 800 becomes a 4 min exposure at ISO 100.

Ah yes but if you have it as an asset under your company so you can claim depreciation etc when you on sell it the government will demand you pay GST for the sale even though you didn't have to in the first place.
Thieving bastards
