Hi, new to the forum and need help with what spec lens/es to get to go with my canon 40d. I like to take a wide range of photos so would be looking for feedback with macro, zoom, tele etc. Thanks for your help.:)

If you can stretch a bit more, I'd recommended the 24 - 135 F/4 IS L. It is probably closer to $1600 though...

I upgraded from the 17 - 85 F/4 - 5.6 which cost me about $700 when I brought it about 18 months ago. That was a good upgrade from the kit lens for me.
