Hi all

I have just signed up with thisforum and look forward to sharing some of my photos with you all for C&C.

The below photos were taken a while ago on the ferry home from Waiheke Island where my father used to live. They are pictures I took at the time without really thinking much about the composure. I am quite happy with how they turned out but there are a few things I am not happy with. The third picture of the ship I feel is too tight with not enough behind the ship.

Anyway I look forward to hearing your comments and I will post up some more picture when Iget home from work.;)

Lovely tones in the first two. They work very well, especially for something you just snapped while on a ferry. Be sure to watch the horizon though. It's easily fixed in photoshop or with most photo editing software. Something like those would work well as a panarama though may be a bit difficult keeping a tripod level on a boat. :)

I quite like the 3rd one too. Lovely light and colours. You're probably right about being slightly too tight but I don't think it's a big problem.

I like the 1st two. The 3rd one with the ship is no bad. As for the cropping i suppose it depends on what you want the viewer to see. If you want to show details of the ship and details in the sky i think you have achieved your goal quite well. But if you want to give a sense of movement of the ship on sea then yes it is a tight crop.
