Brilliant photographs ! Love the colours, and focus on the animals :) The Tiger one is my favourite ! What kind of camera did you do these with ?
Awesome work :)

Thanks for your feedback. Glad you like it. I use a Nikon D90 with a budget lens from Nikon, the 70-300 f4-5.6G. It only cost NZ$198 brand new. I used a lens hood because the sun was quite harsh and creates flare. Took a lot of patience waiting bacause those animals go into the shade and hide from time to time and only occasionally turn their head towards you. I spent about 5 hours at the zoo that day. As for the colours, some of the photos of the zebras and rhinos were all manipulated with photoshop to create a vintage look (bascially adjusting the curves under individual RGB channels).

Absoultely love the first 2! The tiger one looks a little soft on the eyes though, and I'm not keen on the green cast on the 4th. It seems heavier than on the others.

Yes i agree. I had trouble capturing the tiger for a few reasons. There was a big crowd in front of the enclosure glass fighting for good spots. The glass was super dirty with finger prints and grease. The tiger was moving quite fast, i need to practise tracking my subject with a faster pace.
That 4th photo was a bit weird. I am not sure why it is so green. That photo was not manipulated at all. Should have set white balance to cloudy to warm it up i suppose.
Thanks for your feedback.

In response to the feedback i have revisited my zoo photo and adjusted the colour balance in some of them and also sharpened the eyes of some animals. Here are a few more photos to share. Feedback welcomed.
