I was asked to be the photographer for a friends 18th formal birthday and ofcourse since im in need of some portfolio shots, i took the opportunity..

Photos were taken with a Canon 400D with a 18-55 kit lense and a 430EXII flash with wireless trigger.. the light was terrible in the hall so shot in 800-1600 ISO and just edited alittle to be more sharper and cropped

The cake shot is quite well done,
It looks like you need to pick up a faster lens, look at the 50mm f1.8 it is a great lens and cheap as dirt

thanks men..yeah im thinking of getting a 24-105 lense but saving is hard..lol..might get the 50mm soon..$190 i think it is
