Was a great meet for our first one, even in the crappy weather. Luckily Haim pointed us towards the indoor flower hothouse thingie which I didn't know existed.

Not much light inside so had to bump up the ISO to 400/800. Shot with my trusty 50mm F1.8

It's a bit past my bedtime so I'll process some more tommorow.

that's pretty good considering it's a 50mm ..... non macro........

those are really good Talan, I can see these kind of images being use professionally in my opinion... I also had the same issue with shooting the flowers where the far away edge of the petal started to get a bit blurred if i had 1.8 aperture. maybe ill try >1.8 next time.

Cheers mate. I like the lense as it is really good value for money!

Haha no way those shots are too amateur. Im still learning and trying to work on my composition. I was shooting near or very close to wide open apeture due to the low light and really wanted to get the depth of field but I guess the sacfice is that not everything will be in focus.

i like the 2nd photo you took..thats quite cool..

Thanks!

If i remember correctly they were shot in f/2.2 to f/3.2 something along that range...
