Welcome to the first forum photo competition sponsored by our friends at Canvart (http://www.canvart.co.nz/default.aspx).

The winner will receive a 300 x 420mm stretched canvas of his/her winning photo. The prize is worth $116 AND they will also get it delivered to your door for FREE! We will open up public voting once all the entries are in.

Rules/Guidelines:

You must be a registered member (http://www.photographersonline.co.nz/register.php?) of the forum to enter and vote. Please include your forum username in your entry!
Photos submitted should be no larger than 800 x 800 and should be free of any watermarks - we keep the entries anonymous.
One entry per member.
You must be the copyright owner. The original author of the work. We will do spot checks and have access to image recognition search engines.
Please also send a short description of your photo i.e. where/how you took it, what the photo conveys, etc.
Have fun, and try to challenge yourself by trying to take a new photo.
Public voting will run for approximately 1 week after the entries are posted up and the winner will be contacted to arrange the prize.

No, we will print the winning photo. This encourages members to challenge themselves to submit their strongest photo for the competition.

Well I've submitted my strongest photo, but it's not exactly one I'd choose to print out large if I had the option, but not to worry. I assume we will at least submit a high res photo for the printing rather than the 800x800 version?
