I actually picked up a few tricks from this video. I've seen a lot of DSLR photographers out there with the wrong camera-holding technique. This will help improve the sharpness of your images and allow you to shoot at slow shutter speeds. Also avoid some muscle pain too :)
A must-watch for photographers of all skill levels.

From what I gather Joe is talking left eye being his dominant eye, thus thats why he uses his left eye on through the viewfinder. What if your dominant eye is your right eye? Or does it matter?

if its your right eye, would you not just swap shoulder, if you get what i mean ?
ohhh no that wont work, your hand would be in the way lol. interesting, cant wait to get out the camera and have a play to see.

I have been trying it out today, particularly with the left hand over the right hand that Joe shows, and it is definitely a lot steadier. It does seem a little uncomfortable but I think (in my own case) it will be just a matter of using it and getting used to using that stance.
