Anyone else got one? Been using mine a bit lately and find it a hell of a lot sharper than the old 18-55 Canon kit lens. One of 3 Tamrons I've got at the moment and I'm pretty happy with all of them to be honest
I have one (old no-AF motor Nikon version) and I love it. I sold few shot taken from that lens so it must be good,

Had one for a while and it was a super sharp lens. I would have kept it over the canon 17-55 I currently have, except for the IS feature. I did some tests and it was even sharper then the canon at some focal lengths and apertures! The new version Tamron with VC should be real nice lens for the money.

I have re brought a 28-75 f2.8 and is super sharp even in the corners on FF, the reason i sold it the first time was the focus speed, which is slowish, but for what i use it for it is great.

i swear my tamron 17-50 vc is having trouble communicating with my D90. the auto focus settings change by themselves and a good percentage of the time i hold the shutter to focus and nothing happens. i end up having to boot up the camera again for it to work.

Try cleaning the contacts between the lens and body deviant.

I'm looking at getting this lense next. I've heard lots of good things about it. Just trying to find one for the best price.
