New Yong-Nuo YN-468 is out and is TTL compatible.

And at $112USD free shipping to NZ seems like a good budget alternative to Canon and Nikon speedlights.

Anyone had some good experiences with them??

yes i got the YN467 its pretty good for what they are had it for awhile now (got it for $150NZ at that time from ebay tradme sells them for over $200 or so)and havent let me down yet. might try the YN468 as i think the dialer on the YN467 is a bit stiff and annoying to use, would prefer buttons like the new one.

I have a 460 and it is great and the diffuser is excellent, I never get the dreaded 'green eye' in my cat portraits any more. Good for fill flash outdoors too. The instructions aren't up to much, I have not been able to work out how to synch it with my Canon, so I just use it with the manual scale of 1-8 flash intensity. I use it with the H2 as well. And it was only $79 (I've had it a few months now) You won't be disappointed.

Im waiting too. I think they have a shortage with supply...

I'll email them during the week. You should too and see what answers you get.

I've ordered from Yong-Nuo before and their shipping has been efficient.

Do they make the YN-468 for Nikons? Can't find any on ebay.

I have managed to get a tracking number from Yong-Nuo.

Even though I got a despatch confirmation for the 2nd of June, the actual date when the package left Hong Kong was the 21st of June. This could be due to their supply issues. Hope to get it in the next 2 weeks. Shipping from Hong Kong is usually pretty quick.

The ad says that it will work on Canon 500d 550d and 1000d. Im guessing that it will work on a 50d aswell? Is it really worth it? Better than "Nissin"?

@talan, yeah i just got a refund from Paypal today, the Seller said the supply is low and they wont have any for awhile even though it is listed in their auction. so i think i will just wait abit longer or just sell my left leg and get a 580EX II!!! hahah!

@magello, im ussing the older YN-467 with my 50D, its pretty good for what they are, work well with the ebay flash trigger also. SO the YN-468 should be better? My mate ussing the Nissin one he didnt recommended it to me

Xecuta, do you still need to buy those wireless trigger thingy? Can't it be triggered with the camera's infrared?

i think its worth it, dont really know the range for infrared? but when shooting in the brighter day light the flash might not fire. im not really a hugh fan of the build-in flash as it leaves rounded shadow on the photo.
Ebay is a lot cheaper i got my for $80 including two umbrella mounts

I received it today (weird).

Have just had a quick play. I can't get it to turn on properly when attached to my 400D but turns on fine when not attached. I will mainly use for off camera lighting anyway but it would be nice to get it to work properly on camera (take advantage of TTL)

well thats good news that you got your one. i prefer the flash over the refund.
I might try my luck again later on when its back in stock?
