I've had an interest in photography since I was 10, but I've been really into it the last 2 years or so

For 15 years exactly. I picked up my first SLR at 14, and have been photographing ever since.

I'm 27 and did my first camera course at college when I was 16, so I guess you could call that 11 years .. yikes :D

First started in six form at high school, which was 7 years ago. That's when I got my first film SLR (which I've still got). I took photography in sixth and seventh form but then lost interest when started uni. Just started getting serious about it again this year.

I was given my first camera at about 10, bought my first better camera at about 15 and have been taking photos ever since. I used manual film cameras until i bought a Sony DSC-F828 digital camera and was hooked on digital. I have since had a Canon 400d and now a 500d. So about 22 years all up.

First camera aged 14, Nikon FM film camera with 50 1.2 and 110mm primes. Had that for 23years, before turning to the dark side  and buying my first Canon. A 300D. Recently upgraded to 50D

I'm off the scale; it'd have to be well over 50 years and still counting.

I started around 35 years ago but have had a break from around 1996 thru till 2009 ie from around the start of the digital era. During this time I went thru a phase thinking the best camera was the one you had with you, so we used a couple of little point and shoot cameras.

Late last year I got a D90 to use with my old Nikkor AF 35-70mm2.8 and AF 80-200 f2.8. Ignited the passion again - so much so I'm ditching these lenses and looking for more modern equivalents...

1-3 years for me. I got my dslr in feb 2008, but have always loved taking photos. I must of wasted lots of money on the disposable cameras when I was younger!

I started at the age of 12, when my grandfather gave me his old Voigtländer Camera. It was a small rangefinder camera from the fifties and I loved it ... :)
