Saw some shots processed like this on flickr and really liked the look so I thought I'd give it a go.

I think it works really well with the pumpkins, it makes me think, did they have cameras back then? Hmmm that was an incoherent comment, but maybe you understand.

Thanks cortisolman - I get what you mean, and that is the look I was going for so I'm glad it worked.

It's a matter of opnion. Texture screens were often used when enlarging. I don't think they work well in a picture with fine detail, as in your last.
