Well yesterday it was a calm day but I decided to go for a drive out to the airport to see if there were and waves coming in at Lyall Bay. To my surprise they were and quite a few surfers were enjoing them.
Here are some action shots taken taken with my Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 lense :-

This guy walked pass me and then down the rocks on the shoreline to dive out to where the waves were breaking - saved him the effort of paddling out there

Then around I drove around to Breaker Bay where a surfer can catch short ride due to rocks - appears a bit dangerous here and only 4 or 5 surfers
