View Full Version : Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS ll
Just picked up this last friday, apparently the first copy in N.Z. :p

was using it on an editorial shoot straight after picking it up, and results were quite pleasing, i could hand hold at 1/20 sec at 200mm end and still get perfectly sharp pic.

yes i do have some pics from it, but they are for magz editorial so won't be posting them up until magz are out. as for the price, its around the 4k mark

Is it seriously that much quicker at seeking etc than a $900 Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 HSM II lens?
I have one, and I love it. Sure it's not the same quality glass as Canon L lenses, but it's damn good considering the price jump for anything better.

what about of something down the street or something, it dont have to be fancy, just something to give an idea of what it shoots like handheld at 200mm

Have you used a mk1 version to compare it to?
i have 3 b + w 77mm already, the hoya was the temp one covered the lens from the shop.
